Villa Three
Imani Three is the largest of the three villas in the complex,
boasting an additional bedroom and an upstairs library
presenting breathtaking views of the rice fields and
mountains.
The 3-bedroom villa is built in the style of a
traditional Balinese compound house. It features four separate
thatched pavilions positioned around a large 5 x 16 meter lap
pool, within a walled courtyard garden. A spacious square
shaped timber sundeck, furnished with sun beds, extends from
one side of the pool; two gazebo relaxation pavilions are
located on the other side, and a stone terrace borders the
Master Bedroom.
The swimming pool is lined with aquamarine Java stone and
is fed by a bubbling whirlpool positioned at one end. The
garden is characterized by a flat green lawn planted with
fragrant flowering frangipani trees, pandanus, palm trees,
spider lilies, heliconia and red hibiscus. There is also a
sandy area for children to play, and a secluded garden area
with a small room provided for a children's nanny. An
ornamental pond - complete with a modern sculpture, pots,
bulrushes and purple lilies - runs alongside one wall
in-between the relaxation gazebos.
Living & Dining Pavilion and Library
A two-storey building, positioned at the far end of the
swimming pool, houses the open-plan kitchen and living and
dining areas downstairs, and a glass encompassed library
upstairs. Cooled by ceiling fans and gentle breezes, the
living area features a grey terrazzo floor and is tastefully
furnished with a deeply cushioned mustard-colored sofa, a
table, an arching chrome standard lamp, and a wooden cabinet
housing a satellite TV and DVD player.
A powder room with toilet and washbasin is situated at one
end of the pavilion, and a square table with six chairs is
positioned in the dining area. The pavilion also integrates an
open-plan kitchen behind a black terrazzo bar with an
attractive metallic mosaic façade and pendulous lanterns. The
kitchen is equipped with a six-burner gas hob, a refrigerator,
a microwave, and a good range of utensils. The pavilion is
fitted with bamboo blinds, which can be dropped for privacy
and shade.
An open stone staircase with non-slip pebble wash steps
leads up to the library. This large room surely earns its
place as the focal point of the property, and features a
terrazzo floor and a chocolate and cream décor. It is
encompassed by glass windows and floor-to-ceiling doors, which
slide open on two sides to create an open-air ambience.
Alternatively the doors can be closed for a cool
air-conditioned experience.
A balcony with a low stone wall wraps itself around three
sides of the room, and the view from here is spectacular. The
rice fields stretch out in every direction, and on a clear day
the vista extends to the mighty volcano, Gunung Agung, in the
east, and Uluwatu in the southwest, while the central mountain
range, incorporating Mt. Batukaru, Mt .Sengayang and Mt.
Pohen, can be seen in the northeast. This is a truly magical
spot for relaxing with a book or an afternoon cocktail.
Master Bedroom
The air-conditioned Master Bedroom is housed within its own
single-storey self-contained pavilion, bordered by a stone
sundeck adjacent to the pool. The bedroom features a benkirai
wood parquet floor, a flat screen satellite TV, and a
king-size built-in bed with coordinating built-in bedside
cabinets. There is also a delightful cushioned window seat, a
desk and a chair, and a dressing area comprising fitted
wardrobes with woven woodskin and mirrored doors. The bedroom
is also equipped with a safe deposit box, a ceiling fan, and
tea & coffee making facilities.
Frosted glass doors connect the bedroom with the romantic
en-suite garden bathroom, boasting an oversized cream terrazzo
bathtub within a sunny open-air space surrounded by high walls
for privacy, and planted with lush tropical foliage. The
pebble wash floor is non-slip. The bathtub, toilet, wall
mirror and vanity unity, compete with "his and hers" white
porcelain washbowls, are all sheltered from the elements by a
flat roof, with a wooden pergola-style canopy over the bathtub
supported by four posts. The powerful shower, equipped with a
rain shower head, offers a truly alfresco experience.
Bedrooms
The two remaining bedrooms, with their en-suite garden
bathrooms, are each housed within twin self-contained
pavilions, located on the opposite side of the pool to the
Master Bedroom. Each boasts a pair of cushioned relaxation
balés on either side of each entrance. The pavilions are
mirror images of each other; each houses an air-conditioned
bedroom and en-suite garden bathroom. Each is furnished with a
king-size bed complemented by matching bedside cabinets in
dark wood, a desk and a chair, a cozy cushioned window seat,
and fitted wardrobes with woven woodskin doors, full length
mirrors and storage units. Each is equipped with a TV with
local channels, a safe deposit box, ceiling fans and tea &
coffee making facilities.
The en-suite garden bathrooms are typical of the romantic
Bali style and are accessed by frosted glass doors. Each
bathroom boasts an oversized cream terrazzo bathtub within a
sunny open-air space surrounded by high walls for privacy, and
planted with lush tropical foliage. The pebble wash floors are
non-slip. The bathtub, toilet, wall mirror and vanity unity,
compete with white porcelain washbowl, in each bathroom, is
sheltered from the elements by a flat roof, but the powerful
showers, each with rain shower heads, offer a truly alfresco
experience.
